NEW YORK — A person and woman strolling down a Queens street have been punched and kicked in the head by a trio of strangers who leapt out of an SUV yelling anti-Asian slurs, police stated Sunday.
The victims, a 44-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, have been strolling down the sidewalk on Junction Boulevard close to Roosevelt Avenue in Corona once they have been attacked about 2:30 p.m. Thursday, cops stated.
A woman in a white Acura SUV yelled, “Ugly Asian!” then threw water on the feminine sufferer, police stated. She and two males then bought out of the SUV and punched and kicked each victims in the head.
The trio bought again into the SUV and drove off west on Roosevelt Avenue, police stated. They haven’t been caught.
Both victims have been hospitalized with head accidents.
The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the assault.
Police launched surveillance footage of the suspects hopping out of the SUV and are asking the general public’s assist figuring out them and monitoring them down.
